Privacy notice

Omanzil is a real estate company in the Sultanate of Oman. This notice explains, in plain words, what we do with the details you give us when you book a call, and what choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need, we use it only to help you, and you stay in control.

What we collect

  • The details you type in: your name, email address and WhatsApp number.
  • Your booking: the time you chose, your time zone and the language you used.
  • Where the booking link came from, for example a brochure or our website, so we know which of our materials are useful.
  • Technical details that help us keep the page safe from spam and misuse: your IP address and browser type. We delete these after 30 days.

Why we use it

  • To hold the Google Meet call you booked, send you the calendar invitation and, where you gave us your WhatsApp number, a short confirmation and reminder.
  • To follow up on your property enquiry: your advisor may contact you about the properties you asked about.
  • To keep the booking page secure and working.
  • We rely on your consent, which you give when you tick the box, and on the steps you asked us to take before any purchase. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

What we never do

  • We never sell or rent your details to anyone.
  • We never send you marketing messages without your separate consent.
  • We don't record or transcribe our calls.
  • The booking page uses no cookies, no advertising trackers and no tracking pixels.

Who helps us

  • A few trusted service providers handle your details on our behalf and only for the purposes above: Google (calendar, Google Meet calls and email) and our server host in Germany (Contabo), where our own customer records and messaging systems run. Each of them is bound by contract to protect your details.
  • We may share your details if the law requires it.

Where your details are kept

  • Our own server is in the European Union. Some of our providers, such as Google, may process data in other countries. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer under data protection law, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep them

  • We keep your booking and enquiry details for as long as we are helping you, and for up to 3 years after our last contact, then we delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
  • IP addresses and browser details are deleted after 30 days.

Your rights

  • You can ask us for a copy of your details, ask us to correct or delete them, withdraw your consent, or object to how we use them. We reply within one month, usually much sooner, and it costs nothing.
  • To make a request, email privacy@omanzil.com or reply to your calendar invitation.
  • If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the data protection authority where you live. In Oman, this is the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology. In the United Kingdom, it is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Keeping your details safe

  • We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), strict access controls and encrypted backups. Only the people who need your details to help you can see them. If a breach ever affected your details, we would tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Who the page is for

  • The booking page is meant for adults (18 and over) interested in property. Your advisor is chosen automatically by who is free at the time you pick; no other automated decisions are made about you.

Changes to this notice

  • If we change how we use your details, we will update this notice and the date above.
